In Saturday's non-league challenge, the Valley Christian Trojans (Chandler, AZ) baseball squad triumphed over the visiting Florence Gophers (Florence, AZ), by a final score of 8-1.

With the win, Valley Christian upgrades its record to 17-1 on the season. The Trojans host American Leadership Academy - Gilbert North (Gilbert, AZ) to battle the Eagles in a 3A Metro challenge on Tuesday, May 11. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 8-7. American Leadership Academy - Gilbert North won 8-7 in their recent league challenge against Benjamin Franklin (Queen Creek, AZ)
