Richwood Rams (Monroe, LA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting Ruston Bearcats (Ruston, LA), 46-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Richwood upgrades its record to 13-7 on the season. The Rams host Farmerville (Farmerville, LA) to play the Farmers in a 3A District 2 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Farmers go into the bout with a record of 3-12.

Next up, the Bearcats play the Airline Vikings (Bossier City, LA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Ruston will attempt to upgrade on its 3-13 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 12-8 record after their 55-53 non-league loss to West Monroe (West Monroe, LA).
