New Jersey High School Baseball - Rutgers Prep can't hold off Lawrenceville School
May 6, 2014: Lawrenceville, NJ 08648 The Lawrenceville School Big Red baseball team scored 11 runs and limited the visiting Rutgers Prep Argonauts to 10 in the Big Red non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Big Red (2-2) will now prepare for their match against Blair Academy (Blairstown, NJ). The Bucs go into the Mid-Atlantic Prep match with a 2-0 record.
The Argonauts (5-9) will now prepare for their match against Newark Academy (Livingston, NJ). The Minutemen go into the non-league match with a 10-7 record. In their last match, Newark Academy tipped Glen Ridge (Glen Ridge, NJ), 9-1, in a league match.
Game Summary
Senior center fielder Anthony Brocato got his 100th career hit for Rutgers Prep (5-9), but the Args let a 6-2 lead get away. Matt von Roemer was 4 for 5 with three triples, four runs and two RBI and Jackson Schuetz was 2 for 4 with three runs scored/. Danny Schantz added two RBI.
