December 22, 2022: Citrus Heights, CA 95610 Mesa Verde Mavericks (Citrus Heights, CA) fans were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host San Juan Spartans (Citrus Heights, CA), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Mavericks confront the Dixon Rams (Dixon, CA) in a Golden Empire League challenge, on Thursday, January 12. Mesa Verde will attempt to better on its 2-3 season record.
The Spartans now have a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they host Esparto for a Sierra Delta League challenge on Wednesday, January 4. San Juan will confront a Spartans team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Pierce (Arbuckle, CA). The Spartans record now stands at 6-4.
