South Hills Scorpions (Fort Worth, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Polytechnic Parrots (Fort Worth, TX), 35-26 in a league bout.

With the win, South Hills upgrades its record to 4-19 on the season. The Scorpions travel to Trimble Tech (Fort Worth, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 5A Region I District 6 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 5-13. Trimble Tech lost 1-0 in their recent league bout against North Side (Fort Worth, TX)

Next up, the Parrots play the Everman Bulldogs (Everman, TX) in a 5A Region I District 6 challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Polytechnic will attempt to improve on its 6-19 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 12-17 record after their 30-21 league win over Arlington Heights (Fort Worth, TX).
