West Virginia High School Softball - Clay County bounces Hannan
March 18, 2024: Clay, WV 25043 The crowd at Monday's league match between the Clay County Panthers (Clay, WV) and the visiting Hannan Wildcats (Ashton, WV), saw Clay County's softball squad achieve victory over Hannan by a count of 25-0.
The Panthers now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Roane County for a Little Kanawha match on Thursday, March 21. Clay County will face a Raiders squad coming off a 8-0 league win over Calhoun (Mt. Zion, WV). The Raiders record now stands at 3-0.
With the loss, Hannan falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Fairview (Ashland, KY) to face the Eagles in a District 64 match on Saturday, March 23. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 2-0.
