The Loyd Star Hornets routed the visiting West Lincoln Bears softball squad by a final score of 8-3 in Tuesday's league battle.

The Hornets (10-8) will now prepare for their battle against Bogue Chitto (Bogue Chitto, MS). The Bobcats go into the 2A Region 7 battle with a 2-3 record.

The Bears now possess a 4-4 record. They play next when they travel to Enterprise for a 2A Region 7 contest on Thursday, April 1. West Lincoln will play a Yellowjackets team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Bogue Chitto (Bogue Chitto, MS). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 6-8.
