Illinois High School Basketball - Rockridge overwhelmed by Geneseo
December 7, 2021: Geneseo, IL 61254 The Geneseo Maple Leafs basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the visiting Rockridge Rockets to 34 in the Maple Leafs non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Maple Leafs now sport a 8-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sterling for a Western Big 6 contest on Thursday, December 9. Geneseo will battle a Golden Warriors team coming off a 55-23 league loss to Quincy (Quincy, IL). The Golden Warriors record now stands at 1-5.
The Rockets (6-1) will now prepare for their contest against Mercer County (Aledo, IL). The Golden Eagles come into the non-league contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Mercer County was routed by ROWVA/Williamsfield (Oneida, IL), 39-34, in a league contest.
