Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Lake Weir Hurricanes (Ocala, FL) and the visiting Cypress Creek Bears (Orlando, FL), saw Lake Weir's basketball squad overcome Cypress Creek by a score of 93-73.

With the victory, Lake Weir improves its record to 2-3 on the campaign. The Hurricanes travel to Leesburg (Leesburg, FL) to play the Yellowjackets in a 6A District 5 challenge on Tuesday, December 13. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a record of 4-2. Leesburg won 76-42 in their recent league challenge against South Lake (Groveland, FL)
