In Thursday's non-league battle, the host Mater Dei Monarchs volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Millikan Rams.

The Monarchs (1-0) will now prepare for their test against St. John Bosco (Bellflower, CA). The Braves enter the Trinity test with a 4-1 record.
