Alaska High School Basketball - Soldotna tops Houston
February 23, 2024: Soldotna, AK 99669 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Soldotna Stars (Soldotna, AK) and the visiting Houston Hawks (Big Lake, AK), saw Soldotna's basketball squad knock off Houston by a count of 50-40.
With the victory, Soldotna upgrades its record to 12-10 on the campaign. The Stars travel to Palmer (Palmer, AK) to play the Moose in a 4A Northern Lights challenge on Friday, March 1. The Moose come into the challenge with a record of 8-12.
Next up, the Hawks play the Kenai Central Kardinals (Kenai, AK) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 24. Houston will attempt to upgrade on its 6-13 season record. The Kardinals come into the challenge with a 6-14 record after their 66-43 non-league loss to Redington (Wasilla, AK).
