In Friday's non-league match, the host Cathedral Fighting Irish basketball team scored a decisive 79-48 triumph over the Roncalli Royals.

In their next game, the Fighting Irish meet the New Albany Bulldogs (New Albany, IN) in a non-league match, on Saturday, January 8. Cathedral will attempt to better on its 9-3 season record. The Bulldogs enter the match with a 4-4 record after their 57-47 league win over Seymour (Seymour, IN).

With the defeat, Roncalli moves to 4-5 on the year. The Royals travel to North Central (Indianapolis, IN) to meet the Panthers in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 11.
