January 26, 2023: Hot Springs, AR 71913 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Gospel Light Christian Lions (Hot Springs, AR) and the visiting Valley Christian River Hawks (Russellville, AR), saw Gospel Light Christian's basketball squad hold off Valley Christian by a tally of 47-45.
With the victory, Gospel Light Christian improves its record to 9-14 on the campaign. The Lions host Arkansas Christian Academy (Bryant, AR) to play the Knights in a Arkansas Christian challenge on Thursday, February 2. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 2-17. Arkansas Christian Academy lost 65-44 in their recent league challenge against Union Christian Academy (Fort Smith, AR)
Next up, the River Hawks play the Union Christian Academy Eagles (Fort Smith, AR) in a Heartland Christian challenge, on Friday, January 27. Valley Christian will attempt to improve on its 2-6 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 16-9 record after their 65-44 league win over Arkansas Christian Academy (Bryant, AR).
