South Dakota High School Basketball - Milbank nips Waubay/Summit
January 17, 2023: Milbank, SD 57252 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Milbank Bulldogs (Milbank, SD) and the visiting Waubay/Summit Mustangs (Waubay, SD), saw Milbank's basketball squad hold off Waubay/Summit by a count of 46-41.
With the victory, Milbank upgrades its record to 6-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Groton (Groton, SD) to play the Tigers in a A Region 1 challenge on Thursday, January 19. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 7-2. Groton won 45-16 in their recent non-league challenge against Langford (Langford, SD)
Next up, the Mustangs play the Aberdeen Christian Knights (Aberdeen, SD) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 19. Waubay/Summit will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 0-11 record after their 54-22 non-league loss to Faulkton (Faulkton, SD).
