Missouri High School Basketball - Butler can't hold off Hume
February 5, 2024: Butler, MO 64730 The Hume Hornets basketball team scored 42 points and held the host Butler Bears to 39 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Monday.
The Hornets now sport a 18-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sheldon for a Golden Valley Vernon contest on Thursday, February 8. Hume will battle a Panthers team coming off a 41-26 non-league loss to Montrose (Montrose, MO). The Panthers record now stands at 7-15.
The Bears (8-12) will now prepare for their contest against El Dorado Springs (El Dorado Springs, MO). The Bulldogs enter the Ozark Highlands contest with a 16-3 record. In their last contest, El Dorado Springs nudged Appleton City (Appleton City, MO), 60-32, in a non-league contest.
