Model Patriots (Richmond, KY) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Jackson County Generals (McKee, KY), 9-8 in a non-league test.

With the win, Model upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Patriots host Sayre (Lexington, KY) to battle the Spartans in a non-league test on Wednesday, March 20. The Spartans come into the test with a record of 2-0. Sayre won 15-0 in their recent non-league test against Frankfort Christian Academy (Frankfort, KY)
