In Friday's non-league match, the host Cassville Wildcats football squad scored a good 37-6 victory over the McDonald County Mustangs.

In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Nevada Tigers (Nevada, MO) in a Big 8 - West match, on Friday, October 5. Cassville will attempt to move on its 6-0 season record. The Tigers enter the match with a 1-5 record after their 28-0 non-league loss to Marshfield (Marshfield, MO).
