North Carolina High School Basketball - Garinger can't hold off Butler
January 22, 2016: Charlotte, NC 28205 The Butler Bulldogs basketball team scored 80 points and held the host Garinger Wildcats to 73 in the Bulldogs league triumph on Friday.
The Bulldogs now sport a 14-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Myers Park for a Southwestern 4A contest on Friday, January 29. Butler will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 65-52 league win over Rocky River (Mint Hill, NC). The Mustangs record now stands at 9-8.
The Wildcats (8-8) will now prepare for their contest against Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, NC). The Pirates enter the Southwestern 4A contest with a 2-16 record. In their last contest, Porter Ridge was nudged by Independence (Charlotte, NC), 80-46, in a league contest.
