Michigan High School Basketball - Douglass holds off Webberville
December 11, 2021: Webberville, MI 48892 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Douglass Hurricanes (Detroit, MI) and the host Webberville Spartans (Webberville, MI), saw Douglass's basketball squad hold off Webberville by a tally of 54-53.
With the victory, Douglass improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Hurricanes host Pershing (Detroit, MI) to confront the Doughboys in a Detroit Public I challenge on Friday, December 17. The Doughboys come into the challenge with a record of 0-1. Pershing lost 69-62 in their recent non-league challenge against Summit Academy North (Romulus, MI)
Next up, the Spartans confront the Atherton Wolverines (Burton, MI) in a Genesee Area - Red challenge, on Tuesday, December 14. Webberville will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 67-58 league loss to International Academy (Flint, MI).
