North Carolina High School Basketball - North Mecklenburg tops West Charlotte
January 23, 2018: Charlotte, NC 28216 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the North Mecklenburg Vikings (Huntersville, NC) and the host West Charlotte Lions (Charlotte, NC), saw North Mecklenburg's basketball squad knock off West Charlotte by a tally of 73-63.
With the victory, North Mecklenburg improves its record to 17-1 on the campaign. The Vikings host Mooresville (Mooresville, NC) to play the Blue Devils in a I-Meck 4A challenge on Wednesday, January 24. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a record of 2-14. Mooresville lost 76-55 in their recent league challenge against Mallard Creek (Charlotte, NC)
Next up, the Lions play the Mallard Creek Mavericks (Charlotte, NC) in a I-Meck 4A challenge, on Friday, January 26. West Charlotte will attempt to improve on its 13-6 season record. The Mavericks come into the challenge with a 7-11 record after their 61-54 league loss to Zebulon B. Vance (Charlotte, NC).
