January 7, 2011: Slidell, LA 70458 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Slidell Tigers (Slidell, LA) and the visiting Mandeville Skippers (Mandeville, LA), saw Slidell's basketball squad knock off Mandeville by a score of 60-47.
With the victory, Slidell improves its record to 11-5 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to St. Paul (Covington, LA) to battle the Wolves in a 5A District 7 challenge on Tuesday, January 11. The Wolves come into the challenge with a record of 7-9. St. Paul lost 79-50 in their recent league challenge against Hammond (Hammond, LA)
Next up, the Skippers battle the Ponchatoula Green Wave (Ponchatoula, LA) in a 5A District 7 challenge, on Tuesday, January 11. Mandeville will attempt to improve on its 5-9 season record. The Green Wave come into the challenge with a 4-7 record after their 64-60 league loss to Covington (Covington, LA).
