Kansas High School Basketball - Horton can't hold off Jackson Heights
January 14, 2022: Holton, KS 66436 The Jackson Heights Cobras basketball team scored 34 points and restricted the visiting Horton Chargers to 28 in the Cobras non-league victory on Friday.
The Cobras now sport a 3-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Atchison for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 18. Jackson Heights will battle a Phoenix team coming off a 56-50 non-league loss to Sumner Academy (Kansas City, KS). The Phoenix record now stands at 5-5.
The Chargers (2-7) will now prepare for their contest against Pleasant Ridge (Easton, KS). The Rams come into the non-league contest with a 8-2 record. In their last contest, Pleasant Ridge edged Atchison County (Effingham, KS), 59-41, in a non-league contest.
