May 24, 2010: Jackson, KY 41339 Spectators at Monday's non-league battle between the Wolfe County Wolves (Campton, KY) and the host Jackson City Tigers (Jackson, KY), saw Wolfe County's baseball squad beat Jackson City by a margin of 21-1.
The Tigers now sport a 5-14 record.
Game Summary
Wolfe County advances to the 55th District Tournament championship game for the second year in a row with a 21-1 win over Jackson City. Joe Ray Oliver had a big day at the plate, going 3-4 with 5 RBIs and was also the winning pitcher with three hitless innings in relief. Dylan Creech drives in three, including a two-run line shot over the left-center field fence. Clint Brewer drives in 4 and Deron Terrill added a run-scoring double of the left center field fence to help the Wolves. Wolfe advances to the championship game, where they will face Breathitt County.
