December 15, 2023: Detroit, MI 48209 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Renaissance Phoenix (Detroit, MI) and the host Western International Cowboys (Detroit, MI), saw Renaissance's basketball squad overcome Western International by a tally of 69-56.
With the victory, Renaissance improves its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Phoenix travel to King (Detroit, MI) to confront the Crusaders in a Detroit Public I challenge on Tuesday, December 19. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a record of 4-2. King won 74-67 in their recent non-league challenge against Saginaw (Saginaw, MI)
Next up, the Cowboys confront the Mott Corsairs (Waterford, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Sunday, December 17. Western International will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Corsairs come into the challenge with a 4-2 record after their 57-46 league loss to Walled Lake Central (Walled Lake, MI).
