Illinois High School Basketball - Bloom holds off Rich Central
December 26, 2017: Olympia Fields, IL 60461 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Bloom Blazing Trojan (Chicago Heights, IL) and the host Rich Central Olympians (Olympia Fields, IL), saw Bloom's basketball squad hold off Rich Central by a tally of 49-45.
With the victory, Bloom improves its record to 6-9 on the campaign. The Blazing Trojan travel to Bradley-Bourbonnais (Bradley, IL) to confront the Boilermakers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 26. The Boilermakers come into the challenge with a record of 10-1. Bradley-Bourbonnais won 44-41 in their recent non-league challenge against Lincoln-Way West (New Lenox, IL)
Next up, the Olympians confront the Rich East Rockets (Park Forest, IL) in a Southland challenge, on Thursday, January 4. Rich Central will attempt to improve on its 4-6 season record. The Rockets come into the challenge with a 1-13 record after their 65-19 non-league loss to Harlan (Chicago, IL).
