The Murphysboro Red Devils basketball team scored 63 points and held the visiting Massac County Patriots to 49 in the Red Devils league triumph on Friday.

The Red Devils now sport a 15-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Herrin for a Southern Illinois River-to-River - Ohio contest on Friday, February 3. Murphysboro will battle a Tigers team coming off a 55-45 league loss to Benton (Benton, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 11-7.

The Patriots (6-10) will now prepare for their contest against Marion (Marion, IL). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 13-7 record. In their last contest, Marion was defeated by Centralia (Centralia, IL), 58-42, in a league contest.
