California High School Basketball - Monte Vista holds off St. Joseph Notre Dame
December 29, 2018: Alameda, CA 94501 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Monte Vista Mustangs (Danville, CA) and the host St. Joseph Notre Dame Pilots (Alameda, CA), saw Monte Vista's basketball squad hold off St. Joseph Notre Dame by a tally of 69-65.
With the victory, Monte Vista improves its record to 9-3 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Dougherty Valley (San Ramon, CA) to confront the Wildcats in a East Bay challenge on Wednesday, January 2. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 11-2. Dougherty Valley won 53-50 in their recent non-league challenge against Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, CA)
Next up, the Pilots confront the Bishop O'Dowd Dragons (Oakland, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 5. St. Joseph Notre Dame will attempt to improve on its 7-5 season record.
