December 30, 2021: Peru, IL 61354 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the St. Bede Bruins (Peru, IL) and the visiting Dwight Trojans (Dwight, IL), saw St. Bede's basketball squad overcome Dwight by a tally of 70-53.
With the victory, St. Bede improves its record to 9-5 on the campaign. The Bruins host Mendota (Mendota, IL) to confront the Trojans in a Big Northern challenge on Monday, January 3. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 2-9. Mendota lost 58-35 in their recent non-league challenge against Hinckley-Big Rock (Hinckley, IL)
Next up, the Trojans confront the Pontiac Indians (Pontiac, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 4. Dwight will attempt to improve on its 5-6 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 4-7 record after their 51-38 non-league loss to Bloom (Chicago Heights, IL).
