New York High School Basketball - White Plains nudges Williamsport
January 29, 2011: White Plains, NY 10605 In Saturday's non-league outing, the White Plains Tigers (White Plains, NY) basketball squad nipped the visiting Williamsport Millionaires (Williamsport, PA), by a margin of 65-60.
The Tigers (3-4) will now prepare for their outing against Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, NY). The Knights go into the Section 1 Conference 2 - B outing with a 8-2 record. In their last outing, Mt. Vernon was tipped by St. Anthony (Jersey City, NJ), 60-47, in a non-league outing.
The Millionaires now own a 5-9 record. They take the field next when they host Danville for a non-league outing on Monday, January 31. Williamsport will encounter a Ironmen squad coming off a 74-58 league win over Midd-West (Middleburg, PA). The Ironmen record now stands at 11-4.
