The Sterling Rangers basketball team scored 72 points and held the visiting Anahuac Panthers to 25 in the Rangers non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Rangers now sport a 9-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to MacArthur for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 31. Sterling will meet a Generals team coming off a 66-50 league loss to Nimitz (Houston, TX). The Generals record now stands at 5-12.

The Panthers (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against Nederland (Nederland, TX). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 7-3 record.
