The Sandy Creek Cougars basketball team scored 38 points and restricted the visiting Shelby-Rising City Huskies to 29 in the Cougars non-league victory on Saturday.

The Cougars now sport a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Holdrege for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 12. Sandy Creek will battle a Dusters team coming off a 53-47 non-league loss to Ogallala (Ogallala, NE). The Dusters record now stands at 1-2.

The Huskies (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Schuyler (Schuyler, NE). The Warriors come into the non-league contest with a 0-4 record. In their last contest, Schuyler was defeated by Lincoln Northwest (Lincoln, NE), 53-20, in a non-league contest.
