West Virginia High School Softball - St. Marys bounces Wirt County
April 15, 2024: St. Marys, WV 26170 St. Marys Blue Devils (St. Marys, WV) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Wirt County Tigers (Elizabeth, WV), 12-2 in a league challenge.
The Blue Devils now sport a 16-0 record. They take the field next when they host Williamstown for a Little Kanawha challenge on Tuesday, April 16. St. Marys will face a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 8-5 league loss to Tyler (Sistersville, WV). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 0-10.
With the loss, Wirt County falls to 0-17 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Belpre (Belpre, OH) to face the Golden Eagles in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 16. The Golden Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 6-2. Belpre lost 3-1 in their recent non-league challenge against River Valley (Bidwell, OH)
