Desert Vista Thunder (Phoenix, AZ) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Corona del Sol Aztecs (Tempe, AZ), 61-21 in a league bout.

With the win, Desert Vista upgrades its record to 12-9 on the season. The Thunder host Queen Creek (Queen Creek, AZ) to play the Bulldogs in a 6A Central bout on Friday, January 18. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 10-7. Queen Creek lost 51-36 in their recent league bout against Highland (Gilbert, AZ)

Next up, the Aztecs play the Mountain Pointe Pride (Phoenix, AZ) in a 6A Central bout, on Friday, January 18. Corona del Sol will attempt to upgrade on its 0-17 season record. The Pride go into the bout with a 14-7 record after their 56-27 league win over Desert Ridge (Mesa, AZ).
