Ohio High School Basketball - Middletown knocked off by Lakota East
January 7, 2017: Liberty Township, OH 45044 The Lakota East Thunderhawks basketball team scored 48 points and held the visiting Middletown Middies to 28 in the Thunderhawks league triumph on Saturday.
The Thunderhawks now sport a 3-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Oak Hills for a Greater Miami contest on Wednesday, January 11. Lakota East will meet a Highlanders team coming off a 59-57 league win over Sycamore (Cincinnati, OH). The Highlanders record now stands at 8-8.
The Middies (3-9) will now prepare for their contest against Mason County (Maysville, KY). The Royals enter the District 39 contest with a 16-2 record. In their last contest, Mason County ran past Fleming County (Flemingsburg, KY), 72-30, in a non-league contest.
