Washington High School Softball - Mt. Baker bounces Blaine
April 25, 2022: Blaine, WA 98230 Mt. Baker Mountaineers (Deming, WA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Blaine Borderites (Blaine, WA), 10-6 in a non-league challenge.
The Mountaineers now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Nooksack Valley for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 28. Mt. Baker will battle a Pioneers squad coming off a 14-10 non-league loss to Meridian (Bellingham, WA). The Pioneers record now stands at 5-4.
With the loss, Blaine falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Borderites host Mount Vernon (Mount Vernon, WA) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 29. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 0-3. Mount Vernon lost 12-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Lynden (Lynden, WA)
