In Friday's non-league challenge, the South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls (Norwood, NC) baseball squad edged the visiting Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC), by a final score of 5-4.

With the win, South Stanly upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Rowdy Rebel Bulls host West Stanly (Oakboro, NC) to battle the Colts in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 18. The Colts come into the challenge with a record of 5-0. West Stanly won 12-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Parkwood (Monroe, NC)

With the defeat, Piedmont falls to 0-6 on the season. The Panthers host Forest Hills (Marshville, NC) to battle the Yellow Jackets in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 19. The Yellow Jackets come into the challenge with a record of 0-2. Forest Hills lost 11-8 in their recent non-league challenge against Montgomery Central (Troy, NC)
