North Carolina High School Football - Northwest Cabarrus drops to Providence Grove
April 1, 2021: Franklinville, NC 27233 In Thursday's non-league game, the Providence Grove Patriots (Franklinville, NC) football team knocked off the visiting Northwest Cabarrus Trojans (Concord, NC), by a final score of 42-26.
The Patriots (3-3) will now prepare for their game against Jordan-Matthews (Siler City, NC). The Jets come into the PAC 7 2A game with a 0-6 record. In their last game, Jordan-Matthews was dropped by Wheatmore (Trinity, NC), 42-6, in a league game.
The Trojans now hold a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cox Mill for a South Piedmont 3A game on Friday, April 9. Northwest Cabarrus will battle a Chargers team coming off a 16-9 league win over Central Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Chargers record now stands at 1-3.
