Boyd Broncos (McKinney, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Creekview Mustangs (Carrollton, TX), 58-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Boyd upgrades its record to 9-3 on the season. The Broncos travel to Lakeview Centennial (Garland, TX) to play the Patriots in a 5A Region II District 10 bout on Tuesday, December 20. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 4-7. Lakeview Centennial won 81-48 in their recent non-league bout against Greenville (Greenville, TX)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Ryan Raiders (Denton, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 20. Creekview will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 5-5 record after their 46-38 non-league loss to Newman Smith (Carrollton, TX).
