North Carolina High School Basketball - West Carteret overwhelms Richlands
February 7, 2023: Richlands, NC 28574 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the West Carteret Patriots (Morehead City, NC) and the host Richlands Wildcats (Richlands, NC), saw West Carteret's basketball squad wallop Richlands by a tally of 52-22.
With the victory, West Carteret improves its record to 14-3 on the campaign. The Patriots host Dixon (Holly Ridge, NC) to confront the Bulldogs in a challenge on Thursday, February 9. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 9-5. Dixon won 27-9 in their recent non-league challenge against White Oak (Jacksonville, NC)
Next up, the Wildcats confront the Croatan Cougars (Newport, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 9. Richlands will attempt to improve on its 6-14 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 6-3 record after their 32-31 non-league loss to Swansboro (Swansboro, NC).
