North Carolina High School Softball - Rocky River falls to Independence

April 20, 2022: Charlotte, NC 28227

In Wednesday's league outing, the host Independence Patriots softball team scored a nice 16-0 win over the Rocky River Ravens.

Coming up next, the Patriots battle the Butler Bulldogs (Matthews, NC) in a Southwestern 4A outing, on Tuesday, April 26. Independence will attempt to upgrade on its 14-5 season record. The Bulldogs enter the outing with a 10-6 record after their 9-0 non-league loss to Lake Norman (Mooresville, NC).

The Ravens (1-10) will now prepare for their outing against Charlotte Catholic (Charlotte, NC). The Cougars enter the Southwestern 4A outing with a 8-10 record. In their last outing, Charlotte Catholic was routed by Weddington (Matthews, NC), 16-2, in a non-league outing.
