Texas High School Basketball - Willis overwhelms Marshall
December 9, 2023: Marshall, TX 75670 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Willis Wildkats (Willis, TX) and the host Marshall Mavericks (Marshall, TX), saw Willis's basketball squad wallop Marshall by a tally of 90-37.
With the victory, Willis improves its record to 10-5 on the campaign. The Wildkats travel to Cleveland (Cleveland, TX) to confront the Indians in a 6A Region II District 13 challenge on Tuesday, December 12. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 3-12. Cleveland won 51-41 in their recent non-league challenge against Big Sandy (Dallardsville, TX)
Next up, the Mavericks confront the Pleasant Grove Hawks (Texarkana, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 12. Marshall will attempt to improve on its 4-7 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 5-3 record after their 67-40 non-league loss to Hooks (Hooks, TX).
