September 10, 2010: Greensburg, PA 15601 In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Shaler Area Titans football squad scored a close 35-28 victory over the Hempfield Area Spartans.
In their next game, the Titans clash with the Bethel Park Black Hawks (Bethel Park, PA) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 17. Shaler Area will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record. The Black Hawks enter the match with a 1-1 record after their 24-3 non-league loss to Central Catholic (Pittsburgh, PA).
With the loss, Hempfield Area drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Spartans host Norwin (North Huntingdon, PA) to confront the Knights in a WPIAL AAAA Foothills test on Friday, September 24. The Knights come into the test with a record of 0-2.
