New Jersey High School Basketball - Summit holds off Parsippany Hills
January 29, 2009: Parsippany, NJ 07054 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Summit Hilltoppers (Summit, NJ) and the host Parsippany Hills Vikings (Parsippany, NJ), saw Summit's basketball squad hold off Parsippany Hills by a count of 53-51.
With the victory, Summit upgrades its record to 7-6 on the campaign. The Hilltoppers host West Morris Mendham (Mendham, NJ) to play the Minutemen in a Iron Hills - Hills challenge on Tuesday, February 3. The Minutemen come into the challenge with a record of 13-1. West Morris Mendham won 74-46 in their recent non-league challenge against Snyder (Jersey City, NJ)
Next up, the Vikings play the Chatham Cougars (Chatham, NJ) in a Iron Hills - Hills challenge, on Tuesday, February 3. Parsippany Hills will attempt to upgrade on its 4-10 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 10-4 record after their 58-57 league win over Hanover Park (East Hanover, NJ).
