Texas High School Softball - La Vernia loses to Holy Cross

The Holy Cross Knights softball team scored 18 runs and limited the host La Vernia Bears to 7 in the Knights non-league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Holy Cross improves its record to 4-3 on the year. The Knights travel to Incarnate Word Academy (Corpus Christi, TX) to clash with the Angels in a TAPPS Division III District 4 game on Friday, March 15. The Angels come into the game with a record of 3-7.

In their next game, the Bears clash with the Fredericksburg Billies (Fredericksburg, TX) in a non-league game, on Thursday, February 29. La Vernia will attempt to improve on its 7-6 season record. The Billies come into the game with a 11-4 record after their 5-4 non-league loss to Abilene (Abilene, TX).
