The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Middle Creek Mustangs (Apex, NC) and the host Garner Trojans (Garner, NC), observed Middle Creek's football squad defeat Garner by a count of 22-0.

The Mustangs now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Pinecrest for a non-league contest on Friday, September 3. Middle Creek will encounter a Patriots squad coming off a 48-0 non-league win over Anson (Wadesboro, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 2-0.

Coming up next, the Trojans encounter the Millbrook Wildcats (Raleigh, NC) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 3. Garner will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Wildcats go into the contest with a 2-0 record after their 42-0 non-league win over Enloe (Raleigh, NC).
