Wisconsin High School Basketball - Cumberland knocked off by Spring Valley
January 29, 2022: Spring Valley, WI 54767 The Spring Valley Cardinals basketball team scored 76 points and held the visiting Cumberland Beavers to 64 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Cardinals now sport a 10-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Elmwood/Plum City for a Dunn-St. Croix contest on Tuesday, February 1. Spring Valley will battle a Wolves team coming off a 56-55 league win over Elk Mound (Elk Mound, WI). The Wolves record now stands at 9-4.
The Beavers (7-7) will now prepare for their contest against Chetek-Weyerhaeuser (Chetek, WI). The Bulldogs enter the Heart O'North contest with a 5-13 record. In their last contest, Chetek-Weyerhaeuser was defeated by Ashland (Ashland, WI), 66-62, in a league contest.
