Green County Dragons (Greensburg, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Metcalfe County Hornets (Edmonton, KY), 9-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Dragons now own a 17-6 record. They take the field next when they host Campbellsville for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 16. Green County will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 4-0 non-league win over Hart County (Munfordville, KY). The Eagles record now stands at 7-16.

With the loss, Metcalfe County falls to 4-12 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Barren County (Glasgow, KY) to battle the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 16. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 16-8.
