December 16, 2023: Rio, WI 53960 Potosi/Cassville (Potosi, WI) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Rio Vikings (Rio, WI), 54-51 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Potosi/Cassville upgrades its record to 2-4 on the campaign. The host Black Hawk (South Wayne, WI) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 19. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 2-7. Black Hawk lost 65-37 in their recent league bout against Albany/Monticello (Albany, WI)
Next up, the Vikings play the Pardeeville Bulldogs (Pardeeville, WI) in a Trailways - West bout, on Monday, December 18. Rio will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 5-2 record after their 73-41 non-league loss to Poynette (Poynette, WI).
