Oregon High School Basketball - Dayton can't hold off Crane
December 30, 2023: Dayton, OR 97114 The Crane Mustangs basketball team scored 59 points and held the host Dayton Pirates to 56 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Mustangs now sport a 10-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Dayville/Monument for a 1A High Desert contest on Friday, January 5. Crane will battle a Tigers team coming off a 50-45 non-league loss to South Wasco County (Maupin, OR). The Tigers record now stands at 0-8.
The Pirates (6-6) will now prepare for their contest against Taft (Lincoln City, OR). The Tigers enter the 3A PacWest contest with a 6-6 record. In their last contest, Taft was nudged by Catlin Gabel (Portland, OR), 56-50, in a non-league contest.
