Roncalli Rebels (Indianapolis, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Lawrence Central Bears (Indianapolis, IN), 5-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Rebels now own a 13-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Franklin Central for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 9. Roncalli will face a Flashes squad coming off a 13-0 non-league win over Beech Grove (Beech Grove, IN). The Flashes record now stands at 13-3.

With the loss, Lawrence Central falls to 8-8 on the campaign. The Bears host Lawrence North (Indianapolis, IN) to face the Wildcats in a Metropolitan challenge on Tuesday, May 12. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 5-14. Lawrence North lost 14-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Brownsburg (Brownsburg, IN)
